Do not post content on SurgBuddy if it fits any of the descriptions noted below.

  • Profile Impersonation: An account that copies another account’s profile, background, or overall look and feel in such a way that makes it look like someone else’s account. Account does not have to be 100% identical if the intent is clear to copy the other account.
  • Personal Impersonation: Content intended to look like someone else is posting it.

Examples

Here are some examples of content that’s not allowed on SurgBuddy.

  • Accounts with the same name and image as for another account, with slight changes such as space inserted into the name or a 0 replacing the letter O.
  • Using someone else’s real name, username, image, brand, logo, or other personal information to trick people into believing you are that person.
  • Exactly matching a profile biography/an about part to another profile.
  • Setting up an account using the name and image of a person and then pretending to be that person is posting content on the account.
  • Setting up an account using the name and image of a person and then posting comments on other accounts as if they were posted by the person.
  • Accounts claiming to be a ‘’fan account’’ but posing as another’s account and re-uploading their content.

Please note that these are just some examples, and do not post content if you think it might violate this policy. If you feel that your or another user’s account is being impersonated, please report it.

SPAMS, SCAMS, OR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES

While you’re posting content

Do not post content on SurgBuddy if it fits any of the descriptions below.

  • Spams

Content that is excessively posted, repetitive, or untargeted and does one or more of the following:

  • Promises users they’ll see something but instead directs them off platform.
  • Gets clicks or traffic off SurgBuddy by promising users that they’ll make money fast.
  • Sends users to sites or applications that spread harmful software, tries to gather personal info, or other sites or applications that have a negative impact.
  • Posting misleading content to trick users into believing the content is something it is not.
  • Content that sells engagement metrics such as likes, comments, follows.
  • Comments with links to counterfeit stores.
  • Repetitive comments or messages which are identical and untargeted.
  • Offering false or non-existent services or functionality such as the ‘’dislike’’ button.
  • Attempt to or sell, buy, or exchange platform privileges or product features such as accounts, admin roles, permission to post, pages, groups, likes, etc.
  • Require or claim that users are required to engage with content before they can view or interact with promised content.
  • Scams
  • Content offering cash gifts, pyramid or ‘’get rich quick’’ schemes, free get away or promises miracle treatments which can cure chronic illnesses such as cancer.
  • Loan scams.
  • Advance fee scams.
  • Gambling scams.
  • Charity scams.
  • Romance or impersonation scams.
  • Establishment or false businesses or entities.
  • Grant and benefits scams.
  • Tangible, spiritual, or Illuminati scams.
  • Insurance scams including ghost broking.
  • Debt relief or credit repair scams.
  • Creating, selling, or buying fake or forged documents, fake or counterfeit currency or vouchers, fake or forged educational and professional certificates, money laundering.
  • Credit card fraud and goods or property purchases with stolen personal information
  • Trading, selling, or buying of personally identifiable information, credentials for engagement services, coupons.
  • Fake Engagement
  • Sending links or promoting third-party services that artificially inflate metrics like comments, followers, likes, etc.
  • Offering engagement exchanges such as ‘’like4like’’, ‘’If you follow me, I’ll follow back’’ etc.
  • Content that includes instructions on how to use artificial traffic tools.
  • External Links

External links are completely forbidden on SurgBuddy if they include content that violates our Community Guidelines. This includes links that fit any of the descriptions noted below:

  • Links to pornography.
  • Links to websites or apps that install malware
  • Links to websites or apps phishing for a user’s login credentials, financial information, etc.
  • Links to websites, apps, or other information technology that give unauthorized free access to contents, software or streaming services that normally require payment
  • Links to websites that seek to raise funds or recruit for terrorist organizations
  • Links to sites containing child sexual abuse imagery
  • Links to content that would violate our hate or harassment policies
  • Links to sites selling regulated goods
  • Links to content encouraging others to commit violent acts
  • Links to content that spread medical misinformation including COVID-19
  • Links to websites or apps that spread misleading or deceptive content that can cause serious risk of egregious harm, such as interfering with democratic processes
